Gingerbread House Fun Project for Kids

They still had plenty of Trader Joe's Gingerbread House kits ($6.99) at my local store, and the Tracking Trader Joe's Lab Techs (my daughters) had a blast putting the house together.

A couple years ago, my (70-yr-old) dad and I made one of these TJ's gingerbread houses. The one your kids did came out looking a *lot* better than ours!! :)

I recently stopped shopping at the Trader Joe's in Alexandria, VA and will deal with any long drives or time lost in traffic to have that fun TJ experience I have learned to love. About a year ago a new Captain was brought over to Alexandria from I think the Baileys Crossroads store not far away. I have never met such an unfriendly person who did not want to assist me with some questions on products (all I received was an irritated one word response) and it is easy to look around and notice that Lisa's new employees are following her rude and uneasy example. I used to have so much fun shopping at that store, but since the captain change, I cant wait to get out of there and look for a person who smiles. I hope they do something about her customer service and how she expects her "crew" to help us customers! I just lost my patience waiting for a turn for the better...

Looks nice. When I build gingerbread houses I pile on as much candy and icing as possible. I'd doesn't always look pretty, but it tastes pretty good!
