I hope you got a chance to try the limited edition Candy Cane Joe-Joe's (they're already sold out from my local TJ's). I've always been a big fan of Joe-Joe's, but this was an interesting take on the traditional sandwich cookie, with a light peppermint taste and a suprising candy cane crunch ($2.99).
Candy Cane Jo Jo are back, at least in the Southern California stores. They found some boxes stuck in back of the warehouse after Christmas. This should be the last of it. Get them while you can. $2.49

I just tasted the cookies for the first time yesterday...WOW!!! Unfortunately, the nearest store is 3 hours from here, so I don't think I'm going to be able to enjoy them again. It makes me realize just what an awesome friend I have to share her limited cookie supply with me (she gave me 7!). I am going to see if I can find some way to purchase a box (or 4) online.

Fry up the ground lamb, while this is frying, mince the onion. When the lamb is browned, add the onion, continue cooking on medium heat until onions are translucent. Add the garlic, saute a few more minutes.

Best cookie sandwich I've ever tasted in my life! (: I'm eating some right now. Unfortunately, my Joe-Joe's always go stale on me, so the cookie part is kinda soggy :(

I mixed a few crushed Joe-Joes into my yearly Christmas candy: melted Joe's Pound-Plus bars drizzled over Joe's O's. Mix well and drop in small clusters onto a silpat sheet or waxed paper. The crushed cookies gave just a hint of mint. Nice!

I ate a few and threw the rest out. They taste like toothpaste.

We don't have a Trader Joe's in our area, but a really good friend turned me onto these yummy babies... I would do ANYTHING to be able to get these anytime.

I've been a fan of the peppermint JoeJoe's for several years now, and now I'm rationing my way through my last box.
My favorite way to eat them now it to take two and cut them into small chunks and sprinkle over vanilla ice cream ....
But the real reason I'm here is that I was HOPING like hell (OK, more like DESPERATE...) to find some way to get more -- I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN WAIT TILL NEXT NOVEMBER !!!!!
Anybody know of a secret supply?
I'm hoping some entreprenuer has rat-holed a supply that I will willlingly pay $5 bucks a box for ....
Damn -- next year that WILL BE ME !!!

My favorite easter candy (and favorite candy, period) are called
hummingbird eggs. They are tiny little chewy bits of corn syrup and
come in a bunch of different colors.
