New Trader Joe's Stores
The latest version of the Trader Joe's e-mail newsletter (sign up here) says that the Pikeville, MD store will be opening "Very, very soon" on September 30th. Also opening soon are stores in Centerville, VA, Northville, MI, and West Hartford, CT (I've been told that it'll open on November 4th).
The West Coast version of the newsletter mentioned these opening soon:
Long Beach, CA
at Bellflower & Stearns
Tustin, CA
at Old Irvine & Newport

As a former East Coaster transplanted a year ago to Kansas, I can't even describe how much I miss Trader Joe's. I have practically begged corporate headquarters to put a store out here. They tell me they are looking at the Kansas City area, so I haven't given up yet!

I live in Kitsap county, WA state. I understand that a TJ's is going into or has come to Gig Harbor and wonder if ever we will see one closer to Bainbridge Island?
I have many friends and acquaintances who love TJ's and shop it whenever they take a car to Seattle but that is infrequent. What will it take to get one in Poulsbo or at least Silverdale? Do you ever franchise?

Why no Trader Joes in Spokane WAshington,
I am so sad we dont have one, I shop in Portland when I get there, about every 2 years. I beg them to put in a Trader JOes in Spokane.

I have heard from several people that there will be TJ's opening in Chico, CA this month (September). Is there any truth in this?? If not, are there any plans to bring TJ's to Chico??? (We would ALL LOVE to have one!!!)

Well, Bend is the 6th city in the continental U.S. in terms of GROWTH, and would REWARD your efforts in setting up here a MILLION fold. Please get here, NOW.

I am from the East Coast, recently moved to Colorado. I cannot believe that there are NO TJs in our state!! We are the perfect demographic for this type of store, what is the deal?
When I lived on the east coast, seemed like there was a TJ on every corner.
Who can I contact to BEG for a location in Colorado?

We moved to Redding, CA a year ago and have been going through Trader Joes withdrawals. Our closest one is Sacramento 21/2 hrs. away. Redding is VERY rapidly growing with tons of tranplants from Southern CA and the bay area. 8 out of every 10 people I talk to want a TJ"S here. Please come to REDDING!!!

Trader Joe's is finally coming to NYC. They have purchased space at 140 East 14th Street - ground floor retail space of NYU's Palladium residence hall. Originally slated to open in November, word now is that they will open at the end of the semester (December?).

I recently stocked up at my nearest Trader Joe's in the Chicago area. When speaking with the employees and begging for a store in my hometown of Rochester, MN, they said there are plans to open their first stores in the states of MN (in a Twin Cities suburb) and WI (Madison) in the next six months. Rochester, being the home of the Mayo Clinic, is such a natural fit for a store like Trader Joe's. I'd love to know more about how to request their presence here.

Whenever I go visit family in Chicago or Los Angeles I stock up on items that I can bring home form Trader Joes. I live in Colorado and can't beleive there is no Trader Joes here. There is one in NM but not Colorado. Please come to Colorado. We have way too many overpriced Whole Foods and Wild Oats. We need you here in Colorado, where natural food stores are tops here. Please come, or make plans to bring a store here soon.

I second the comment about a TJ's in Spokane. It's such a growing community. TJ's would do very well here. How do I contact TJ's to add my vote to the tally?

YUMA IS A VAST GROWING CITY THAT IS ONE OF THE TOP SPOT TO INVEST AND MOVE.
POSSIBLY CONSIDER BRINGING A TRADER JOES TO YUMA AZ.

I live in Salem, OR and believe that a TJ's would do extremely well here. Do you franchise? If you do, can you email me with information, because I would love to open a TJ's here. Thank you.

Just read in our local newspaper that Trader Joe's will be opening in Chico, CA in a few weeks and sometime in 2006 in Redding, CA, which is 'booming' right now. When exactly will the Redding store be opening? Thank you!

California's lost coast would be a fantatic business oportunity for a TJ's. Fortuna (Home of the CC radio) is opening new malls and a shopping center and the people who are local keep wondering not if but when. Has anyone else asked this? If nothing else when are you going online?
Thanks
